Dr. Armstrong has many years of experience in Obstetrics and Gynecology. After receiving his medical degree from Howard University School of Medicine, he completed his OBGYN residency at Georgetown University Hospital. He is a Fellow in the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

With regards to obstetrical care, Dr. Armstrong always encourages patient involvement in prenatal care. He also actively includes the patient and her partner in the decision making during the labor, delivery, and postpartum period.

In the field of gynecology, Dr. Armstrong is highly skilled and well respected. His areas of interest include pre- and post-menopausal treatment; minimally invasive surgical and non-surgical treatment of fibroids; and abnormal uterine bleeding. Dr. Armstrong has extensive experience with laparoscopic, hysteroscopic, and ablative surgical procedures.

Dr. Alagia, a Fellow of both the American College of Obstetrician and Gynecologist and American College of Surgeons, is a specialist in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery and diseases involving the uterus. He was a Director of Minimally Invasive Surgery at the George Washington University Hospital in Washington, D.C. where he was responsible for the curriculum and training of both resident physicians in training and junior faculty.

Dr. Alagia was the Senior Consultant for Ethicon Women’s Health and Urology, a division of Johnson & Johnson and the nationally recognized speaker and lecturer on the surgical and non-surgical treatment of uterine fibroids and abnormal uterine bleeding.

Dr. Alagia has active privileges at the Virginia Hospital Center. His areas of surgical expertise include laparoscopic supracervical hysterectomy, hysteroscopy, and global endometrial ablation.

Dr. Bannon is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and a Fellow in the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She completed her residency training at Georgetown University Hospital after receiving her medical degree with honors from the University of Virginia. Dr. Bannon obtained her undergraduate degree from Georgetown University.

She has an enjoyable, established practice in obstetrics and gynecology. She has significant experience with complex obstetric issues and she enjoys routine obstetric care as well. She is dedicated to helping solve women's gynecologic issues from puberty to menopause. If surgery is required, she is skilled in performing the most minimally invasive procedures with the shortest recovery times.

Dr. Solomon received her undergraduate degree in business from Georgetown University in 1998. After graduation, Dr. Solomon lived in New York City, where she worked in the financial industry for two years before beginning medical school.

She then attended Dartmouth Medical School in Hanover, New Hampshire. In 2005, Dr. Solomon returned to Washington, DC to complete her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Georgetown University Hospital.

Dr. Solomon joined Women's Health Corporation in September 2009. She specializes in general obstetrics and gynecology. She has special interests in minimally invasive surgical techniques including laparoscopy and hysteroscopy as well as adolescent health issues.

Dr. Hennessy is originally from the Midwest. She grew up outside Chicago and then moved with her family to Michigan during her high school years. She attended the University of Notre Dame from where she graduated in 2002 with a major in economics and pre-professional studies.

She then returned to Michigan to attend Wayne State University School of Medicine. After graduating in 2006, she moved to Washington, DC for her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Georgetown University Hospital. Dr. Hennessy will join Women's Health Corp. in the summer of 2010. 

Her special interests include providing excellent prenatal as well as gynecologic care. Surgically, she is interested in minimally invasive techniques.

Mrs. Stephanie Woodridge is our office manager. She is a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant with over thirteen years experience in health care matters and insurance issues. She is more than happy to assist you with these issues.

Mrs. Deidre (Dee) Blease is our administrative assistant. She will be more than happy to assist you in scheduling your appointments and directing your calls to the appropriate department.

Ms. Judy Barker is our surgical scheduler. She handles office appointments, insurance precertifications, and insurance authorizations. She is also an excellent resource for health care questions.

Mrs. Charone (Nicci) Proctor is our fabulous medical assistant with a wealth of clinical experience. She will be happy to assist you with prescription refills and other health care matters.

We also have two full time medical records technicians that will assist in the retrieval and reproduction of all medical records.
